Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta
When Antigua Sailing Week was formed in 1967 all of the yachts were classic but as yachts became sleeker with hi-tech sails and equipment there was no way the older full-keeled vessels had a chance to win so in 1987 classic yacht skippers had a meeting with Captains Uli Pruesse and Kenny Coombs at the helm and alas the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta as we know it today was born.
Albeit a a serious competition the event is a relaxed and fun filled affair for lots of on-sore activities happening as Cream Teas, Gig Racingm and music whilst the yachts reside at rest.
Whether you would like to participate or just have a front row seat at the event from privacy of a luxury yacht it will be an exciting experience.
